SOIK Selected for Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ “Digital Infrastructure Overseas Development Support Program (FY2026 Local Startup Category)”

SOIK Corporation, headquartered in Yomitan Village, Okinawa, Japan, has been selected under the first call for proposals for the FY2026 “Local Startup Category” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ Digital Infrastructure Overseas Development Support Program for Ensuring Safety and Reliability.
This program supports regional companies and startups in identifying, proposing, and developing projects for the overseas expansion of digital infrastructure and digital solutions.
Through this program, SOIK will advance project development for the introduction and local deployment of an integrated maternal and child health ICT platform in Zambia.
Specifically, SOIK will work closely with local health authorities, healthcare facilities, and other relevant stakeholders to better understand local needs and explore appropriate implementation models and operational frameworks suited to the local context. The project aims to support the introduction and sustainable integration of an ICT solution into local health systems, addressing health challenges faced by pregnant women, mothers, and newborns in rural and remote areas of Africa—from the early identification of health risks to facilitating access to appropriate healthcare services.
Through this initiative, SOIK will work to build a system that enables more pregnant women and newborns to access the healthcare services they need in a timely and appropriate manner. The project will also lay the groundwork for future large-scale implementation and sustainable business development.
