Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Operation: Drive vehicles in compliance with optimal safety standards for passengers and cargo.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure adherence to SOIK Corporation's vehicle safety and security policies.
- Communication: Maintain constant contact with the office, reporting all movements and parking locations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular vehicle checks to ensure good condition before use.
- Logbook Maintenance: Keep a daily logbook for all trips.
- Service Coordination: Monitor the maintenance schedule and check the quality of services provided by garages.
- Cleanliness: Ensure the vehicle is clean and maintained at all times.
- Cargo Handling: Load and unload small packages.
- Assistance: Assist in handling fragile and heavy materials (approximately 25kg) during equipment distribution at supported sites and the office.
- Additional Tasks: Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Internal and External Clients/Suppliers and Third Parties:
- Collaborate daily with the Administrative and Financial Assistant and other program staff to ensure all vehicle-related documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with standards and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least five years of relevant professional experience as a driver with a good driving record.
Desired Skills:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic, multiracial, and multicultural environment.
- Ability to work under stress.
- Capability to perform minor repairs and supervise major repairs at authorized garages.
- Language Skills: Good oral and written knowledge of French.
- Proficiency in local languages.
- Preferable: Competence in using smartphones and computers.
